Bath Abbey has stood at the heart of the city for centuries, providing a sense of permanence amid the constant movement of everyday life. This project explores the streets and spaces surrounding the Abbey, observing how people pass through this historic setting while the architecture remains unchanged. Several of the photographs use long exposures to blur the movement of people, emphasising the contrast between the enduring presence of the buildings and the fleeting nature of those who visit them. Together, these images form part of an ongoing documentary study of Bath and its evolving relationship between history, place and people.
