Bath is one of Britain’s most photographed cities, offering opportunities across almost every genre of photography. Living nearby, I have returned to it repeatedly, not to recreate familiar postcard views, but to explore the character of the city as a place where people live, work and visit. Each visit focuses on a different aspect of Bath—its architecture, regeneration, streets, riverside, and changing relationship between past and present. Together, these small projects are intended to build a broader documentary portrait of the city, revealing both its celebrated beauty and its everyday life. This growing body of work forms the foundation of a longer-term project that I hope will ultimately develop into both a photobook and an RPS distinction submission.
